Marvel's She-Hulk idea came from Kenneth Johnson. When Universal Television cancelled the series, Johnson asked them to rethink their decision, describing an alternate fifth season, beginning with David giving a blood transfusion to his sister, Helen, causing her to get gamma radiation in her blood creating the She-Hulk. Universal turned down this idea and broadcast the remaining episodes as "season five".

However, a movie starring Brigitte Nielsen was planned in the 1990's. Nielsen posed as both the She-Hulk and Jennifer Walters, her alter-ego. The film never came about and the photos can be seen online.

You saw the creature...We don't know what the side effects might be. It's too big a risk." When Bahia tells him, "Yes, there is a risk...But without it, she'll hemorrhage again, and this time a hundred normal transfusions won't save her. David, you're her only hope." A pressed and wary Banner reluctantly agrees and gives Jessica his blood. As Jessica is recovering, David tries to tell her about her new condition. "Jessica...Something happened...after the accident. They gave you a transfusion of my blood..." Jessica is too groggy to understand, so David leaves the hospital to let her sleep. While Jessica is resting, a group of Cole's thug's break into her hospital room and try to kill her. But all of the sudden , I wasn't afraid. I felt like I was in the middle of a tornado," Jessica muses. "Or I was the tornado, I was powerful...I was strong...I was fearless." The California doctor checks Jessica's Gamma irradiated blood and declares, "These results are inaccurate - in fact, they're humanly impossible." David Banner shows up after She-Hulk reverts to Jessica. Back at her apartment, David makes her tea and urges her to get more sleep. "I'll just have another nightmare," Jessica replies. "The trouble is they're not nightmares, are they, David?" Banner is stunned that she actually remembers being She-Hulk. As he explains to Jessica, "I have no memory once my metamorphosis begins." He then briefly tells her his origin: "A long time ago, I was to a huge overdose of Gamma Radiation. It altered my body chemistry and, under certain conditions conditions, I turn into someone...something...not quite human." Jessica interrupts, "And now that happens to me." David Banner adds,"The only way to save your life was a transfusion. Somehow, the genetic mutation was carried in my blood." "Mutation," a stunned Jessica repeats. "My God..." David tracked Jessica down when he saw The National Register headline "She-Hulk sighted in L.A." Jessica looks at the paper, which has an artist's conception of what her alter ego looks like. "That's the thing I turn into...When it happens, it's like a thousand explosions going off inside my head. I feel like I'll go deaf from the noise and blind from the light. Every nerve in my body is on the outside of my skin. Oh, David, I wish I couldn't remember..." David and Jessica try to think of a plan to expose Cole. Jessica reveals 2 tickets to Las Vegas she took from the D.A. and heads down to find out who is trying to have Jessica killed.

Jessica and Banner race to the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas to find out who's trying to kill Jessica. They are both attacked and knocked out by thugs who take them into a secret room. The Next Morning, Jack McGee shows up looking for The Hulk. He also takes notes of the existence of The She-Hulk. McGee points out, "The witnesses said The Hulk did all of this with a little help from 'a golden-skinned amazon with flaming hair and emerald eyes.' You wouldn't have happened to see a female creature that matches that description." Some witnesses say yes while others say no. Back in L.A., Jessica quits her job as an assistant district attorney when the D.A. is found and arrested after Cole's criminal ties are exposed. Jessica bids her fare wells to David who still feels guilty for turning Jessica into the She-Hulk. Jessica hitchhikes down a long road while quoting, "The Blood Transfusion must've caused it! I've become a Gamma Ray Monster - like poor David! But I'll learn to live with it! From now on, whatever Jessica Walters can't handle - The She-Hulk will do!" Jessica quotes while hitchhiking down the road while searching for a new life as a fugitive attorney and THE SAVAGE SHE-HULK!

Trivia (TV Pilot)[]

In the Pilot script, David and Jessica aren't cousins

She-Hulk wouldn't have Jessica Walters's mind, She would've been completely savage and mute like Lou Ferrigno's Hulk was.

She-Hulk will be getting a TV series in 2022

The pilot was partially filmed, but never released

The filmmakers of the She-Hulk pilot revealed that the pilot would have the same plot as Batman (1989), The Death of The Incredible Hulk (1990), The Trial of The Incredible Hulk (1989), The Incredible Hulk Pilot (1977), and a few episodes of The Incredible Hulk Tv Series (Kindred Spirits, Rainbow's End, The Hulk Breaks Las Vegas, Homecoming, Life and Death, and Terror in Time Square).

She-Hulk would've had Golden skin and red hair in the TV pilot because Bradford May claimed that he didn't like how She-Hulk would be green and thought it would fit The Hulk's skin more than She-Hulk's skin. So he gave She-Hulk Golden Skin, Red Hair, and Green Eyes.

Trivia (Movie)[]

In the movie, Jennifer will only get slightly bigger due to the fact that she's already a tall woman.

Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno would reprise their roles as David Banner and The Hulk.
